We will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our services. This may include your name, address, contact details, and payment information. For security system installations, this may also include details about your property and specific security requirements. Where we install and monitor CCTV, intercom, and access control systems, we may also collect video footage, audio recordings, and logs of access to your premises. We will always endeavor to collect personal information directly from you, unless it is unreasonable or impracticable to do so.

We will only use or disclose your personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or for a secondary purpose that is related to the primary purpose and that you would reasonably expect. For example, we will use your personal information to install and maintain your security system, to provide 24/7 monitoring services, and to contact you or emergency services in the event of an alarm. We will not disclose your personal information to a third party for any other purpose without your consent, unless required or authorized by law.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect, use, or disclose is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. We will also take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, and loss, and from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. This includes implementing physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. For data collected through our security systems, such as CCTV footage, we have strict protocols for access and storage to prevent unauthorized viewing or use.

You have a right to access the personal information we hold about you. You can also request that we correct any inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date information. To request access to or correction of your personal information, please contact us in writing. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period. There are some circumstances in which we are not required to give you access to your personal information, and if this is the case, we will provide you with the reasons for our decision.

Where we have installed CCTV systems, we will ensure that signage is clearly displayed to notify individuals that they may be under surveillance. The collection of CCTV footage will be managed in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Footage will only be used for security and monitoring purposes, and for the investigation of any incidents. Access to this footage will be restricted to authorized personnel.

In providing 24/7 monitoring services, we may collect information about the status of your alarm system and activities on your premises. In the event of an alarm, we may disclose your personal information to emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) and your nominated contacts. We will only disclose the information necessary to respond to the alarm.

For our access control systems, we will collect information about who is accessing your premises and when. This information will be used to manage access to your property and for security purposes. We will not use this information for any other purpose without your consent.

We will only retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it. CCTV footage will be retained for a limited period, after which it will be securely erased, unless it is required for an investigation or legal proceedings.
